I was always intrigued by how people take pictures of insects so close and so wanted to give it a try. A decent macro lens will set you back by at least $600 so wanted to try using a cheaper option. This was buying a cheap prime lens and an adapter so that I can mount it in reverse. All for less than $50.
Here are some of the experiments. Still a long way to go to get pin sharp insects at close up.
After living in Malaysia for almost 4 decades and seeing different parts of the world, I realised that there is more to experience, more to explore...which started this migration process.
Here we are on NZ soil. Starting a new chapter in our lives!
What you read here is how we see New Zealand. It may very well be different to others.
I hope to leave a story about how we got here, what we experienced, what our impressions were and how we fitted in - to our children, their children and beyond. How our children view New Zealand could well be very different from our view.
